Universal scattering laws for quiescent bouncing cosmology

Cosmological bounces occur in many gravity theories. We define singularity scattering maps relating large scale geometries before and after the bounce (assuming no BKL oscillations) encoding microscopic details of theory. By classifying all suitably local we uncover three universal laws: scaling Kasner exponents, canonical transformation matter, directional metric scaling. These are indeed obeyed by Bianchi I string theory, loop quantum cosmology, modified matter models; our classification then determines how inhomogeneities anisotropies traverse precisely extract model-dependent degrees freedom.
